At this point it feels almost certain I won’t return for my final year which feels equally sad and a relief - I’ve not put my best foot forward this year for a whole bunch of personal reasons which, mixed with a few very influential extra factors that I have had no control over, has made the whole year feel like one of regret and missed opportunities which has been weighing on me more than feels healthy.

I think (as usual) I’ve fallen victim to always comparing my progress against the stage that others are at and getting defeated by the feeling I’m going to run out of time to be 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕.

However, I should really look at the fact I’ve almooost built my 2nd acoustic guitar and it looks/feels/smells (and hopefully sounds) mooooostly exactly how I’d want it when I could never have pictured myself ever even doing that so….woohoo I guess?

Anyways, just some musings whilst on the train.

I won’t miss the train. Scotrail are the least enjoyable way to spend money I’ve ever encountered in my life.

The countdown to Bathgate Procession & Community Festival begins on 𝑺𝑨𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑫𝑨𝒀 𝑴𝑨𝒀 24𝑻𝑯 with the most awesome street fayre in the precinct🕺🎸

After a sterling debut last year we are delighted to welcome you all to take part and enjoy 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑩𝑰𝑮 𝑩𝑨𝑻𝑯𝑮𝑨𝑻𝑬 𝑩𝑼𝑺𝑲 2025 which will take part as part of this most awesome event!

We will have our own stall set out with goodies, a PA and microphone/guitar which will be open to ALL to perform with, as well as a selection of guests throughout the day 🙂

In addition, there will be marked spots up and down the precinct for you to take your own gear and deliver your own performance to the crowd 🤟🏻

It’s very simple - come along, enjoy the music, play the music and have an awesome day with us enjoying Bathgate’s beautiful community spirit❤️
