January 19, 2019 - Mark A. Don't just think about trying WLGS out, JUST BLOODY WELL DO IT! My unbranded strat copy pretty much needed an internal rebuild. It's 25 years old and all the wiring needed replacing, the 5-way plastic switch had crumbled. While we were at it, I decided it was time to replace all 3 pickups.The faded pickguard got replaced too. It really was a bit of a project from start to finish. Cal gave me great recommendations for alternative pickup manufacturers. I replaced all 3 for the price of one of the bigger named branded ones. And guess what, you won't be able to tell the difference.
It took longer for us to drool over all the possibilities for the job than it did for him to do the work as well, so don't fret (see what I did there?) about that. I had my much used and well loved guitar back within a couple of days. The workmanship is absolutely astounding. Apart from the self inflicted dings, it looks and plays brand new. As well as polishing the neck up, the action has been lowered too to just the perfect playing height for me. Honestly, like I say, don't think about it, just do it. No need to go elsewhere and pay £££'s more than you need to at the bigger shops. Cheers again Cal. Top man! (y)

July 5, 2017 - David C. My 5 year old son was looking for a ukulele and we popped in here the service we received was great my son was able to try out a few ukuleles till he found the right one and even got a few stickers to decorate it. I couldn't recommend coming here enough
August 3, 2017David M. Finally got round to putting a bass in for a setup. What a difference I thought I had had it set up "ok" but wow its sooper low and fast now also love the flat wound strings cal ordered in for me can't recommend cal and the shop highly enough

We’ve all been there – You save and save (and save) then spend £100’s on a brand new guitar you have lusted after for months or even years. You finally get it in your hands and it just feels…’off’. Or, your faithful 6-stringed friend suddenly starts to buzz, fight you or just not sound like it did.
Guitars are almost always not ready to play as well as they should straight out the box and certainly not if they are your old ones that have been tucked away in a cupboard for years.
Let’s change this.
Setups are just about the best thing you can do for your instrument outside of playing it regularly so get in touch and let me show you how I can make this more fun for you.
Restringing your guitar or bass can feel like a laborious task to a lot of players….but I love it.
Prices start from £20 plus cost of strings for a standard 6-string and includes giving your instrument and frets a spa-level clean and polish whilst I’m at it.
I can install pickups, create custom wiring and fit replacement parts to make your guitar an ever more excellent tool for expressing yo’self… Let me know what you fancy and what your budget is and we’ll make it happen.
From snapped headstocks to worn out nuts (ooyah) I can help. I’ll give you a fair idea of time and cost, and keep you updated throughout!
